An unseasonably warm weekend as breezy winds continue to blow

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – If you haven’t already, you’ll want to make some outdoor plans for the weekend as it will be quite warm in mid to late October. Our average high temperatures are currently in the upper 50s, but we will run near or even above 20 degrees above that as a windy southerly flow continues. Eau Claire continues to experience a large precipitation deficit and needed rain will not arrive in the near future as our pattern continues to favor dry conditions.

A look at what awaits you this weekend(WEAU)

Today there will be a mix of sun and clouds across the region as a cold front weakens and eventually moves westward. While a few isolated showers cannot be ruled out in our northwest counties, the rest of western Wisconsin will remain unscathed as we enjoy a warm and breezy day. Highs will reach the low 70s again this afternoon with south-southwest winds 5 to 15 mph.

Tomorrow will feel like summer as temperatures soar into the 80s and sunshine abounds. However, we expect further autumnal cooling over the next week. For more details, visit our First Alert weather page here or by downloading the 13 First Alert weather app.
