Couple charged with attempted murder after shooting

Two more people have been charged with attempted murder after a 19-year-old man was shot dead on the street earlier this month.

The teenager was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries following the shooting on Hampden Crescent in the Gorton area of Manchester at around 5.45pm BST on October 7.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said on Friday that charges had been laid against 26-year-old Kavon Haselden-Hoyle and a 17-year-old boy – who cannot be named for legal reasons.

They were both due to appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and face charges of attempted murder, conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life or to enable another to do so.

A 16-year-old boy previously charged in the shooting has already appeared in court.

GMP said it was continuing to investigate the incident and urged anyone with information or video footage to come forward.
