What time and channel is South Carolina on today? USC needs to stop the skid

South Carolina lost a close game they had in hand against Alabama in Week 7 and let it slip away. The Gamecocks began the game trailing 14-0, but staged a comeback and took a 19-14 lead after a few costly errors. However, the Gamecocks couldn’t pull away from Tuscaloosa with the surprising win over the Crimson Tide.

After two straight losses to Ole Miss and Alabama and a game against Texas A&M, South Carolina desperately needs a win this weekend. So far, the Gamecocks are 0-3 against ranked opponents, so a win this weekend against unranked Oklahoma would be important to get back on track and avoid falling below .500.

The offense was finally able to get going again against Alabama, but turnovers and penalties were South Carolina’s Achilles heel. The Gamecocks face Oklahoma for the first time this weekend, so these teams won’t know too much about each other.

After the ESPN College game day ends, fans will have the opportunity to grab some lunch or do some quick chores as South Carolina and Oklahoma are scheduled to kick off at 12:45 p.m. EST. The Gamecocks get the early afternoon slot for the second straight year and have time to prepare for Texas A&M in Week 9.

TV station information

South Carolina will be on the SEC Network this weekend when it takes on the Oklahoma Sooners for the first time ever. This will be the first time that head coach Shane Beamer has returned to Norman since taking the head coaching job with the Gamecocks.

The game can be seen on television when there is a sports package with SEC Network. You can also watch the game on the ESPN app with a valid cable login or on ESPN+ with a subscription. Fans can also watch the game with a FuboTV subscription.
