The most obvious difference is the redesigned camera island on the back of the phone. While the camera lenses are still vertically oriented, they are now all housed in a single module.

What remains are the “Key Island”, the protrusions on the power and volume rocker buttons as well as the flat sides and the flat display aesthetic.

The upcoming model comes with dimensions of 162.6 x 77.9 x 7.4 mm (previously for the A35: 161.7 x 78.4 x 8.2 mm) and is slightly higher and wider, but slimmer.

As far as the specifications are concerned, it is still being kept secret, but you can assume that it offers almost the same functions as the Galaxy A35.

A Geekbench listing (model number SM-A366B) suggests that the phone could feature either Snapdragon 6 Gen3 or 7s Gen 2.

Last year’s model was the Exynos 1380, which came onto the market in mid-March. The expected launch for the new Galaxy A series models is also the same.

Samsung Galaxy A36 (expected) specifications:
6.64 inch FHD+ Super AMOLED
Refresh rate 120 Hz
SoC TBD (either Snapdragon 6 Gen3 or 7s Gen 2)
5G, 4G LTE
WiFi
Bluetooth
GPS
USB Type-C
Fingerprint sensor under the display
One UI, Android 15
162.6 x 77.9 x 7.4mm
