Escambia Shelter One-Day Free Adoption Event Today: NorthEscambia.com

Escambia County Animal Welfare and Anderson Subaru have teamed up for the “Subaru Loves Pets” event on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Escambia County Department of Animal Welfare at 200 West Fairfield Drive.

The event will feature free pet adoptions, food trucks, a bounce house, pet-friendly vendors and more throughout the day. Anderson Subaru will provide treat bags to adopters who take home a pet at the event.

Anyone interested in adopting will have the opportunity to contact animal welfare staff during the event to find the perfect pet. There is a $15 license fee for Escambia County residents at the time of adoption.

Pictured above are Perri, a 9-month-old medium-sized neutered cat, and Carrigan, a 3-year-old large neutered dog. Both were available for adoption as of Friday, when the animals at the Escambia shelter were closed.
