Below you’ll find all the information you need to watch the PFL Battle of the Giants event, including when the event begins and when the main event comes to the Smart Cage.

Ngannou vs. Ferreira: PFL Battle of the Giants start time

  • Date: Saturday, October 19th
  • Early card: 1:30 p.m. ET | 10:30 a.m. PT
  • Main map: 4pm ET | 1:00 p.m. PT
  • Main Event Start Time (Approximately): 8pm ET | 5:00 p.m. PT
  • Location: The Mayadeen – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

The PFL Battle of the Giants main card begins at 4:00 p.m. ET, with early prelims at 1:30 p.m. ET. Ngannou and Ferreira should begin around 8 p.m. ET, depending on how long the undercard fights last.

The co-main event will feature a women’s MMA superfight between Cris Cyborg and Larissa Pacheco. Cyborg (27-2, 1 NC) is a former UFC, Strikeforce and Invicta FC featherweight champion and the current Bellator featherweight champion. Her last MMA fight was in October 2023, and while waiting for Pacheco, she competed in boxing competitions.

Pacheco (23-4) shocked the world by defeating Kayla Harrison in the 2022 PFL lightweight tournament. Since then, she has won four times in a row with confidence, winning the 2023 PFL Featherweight Tournament last November.

The 30-year-old Pacheco, who was named Fighter of the Year last year, wants to repeat that at the expense of the 39-year-old Cyborg. Pacheco doesn’t let any free time or age difference play a role in her toughest fight yet.

“I think so [Cyborg fight] gives my career a gigantic boost,” Pacheco told MMA Fighting. “Beating them, if I beat them, they’ll still be like, ‘Oh, it’s easy now, Larissa is nine years younger than Cris.’ They will always have excuses for my victories. But I don’t care at all. What matters is going there, winning and proving it to myself. I don’t have to prove anything to anyone. Nobody pays my bills and I don’t owe anyone anything.”

Also on the card: Johnny Eblen defends the Bellator middleweight title against Fabian Edwards. It’s a rematch from September 2023, when Eblen (15-0) knocked out Edwards. Edwards (13-3) defeated Aaron Jeffery in a title match, securing another win against the former wrestling champion.

Meanwhile, former Bellator featherweight champion AJ McKee (22-1), riding a four-fight win streak, faces former Cage Warriors featherweight champion Paul Hughes (12-1).
