“New York Comic Con: ‘Venom 3’ Director on If This Is the Last ‘Venom’ Movie”

“New York Comic Con: ‘Venom 3’ Director on If This Is the Last ‘Venom’ Movie”

The action-packed trilogy conclusion “Venom: The Last Dance” hits theaters on October 25, which could be bittersweet news for franchise fans. If there is still any doubt that the third film closes a chapter, the Sony panel at New York Comic Con on Friday clarified them.

“This is the final Venom film,” confirmed director Kelly Marcel during the panel discussion. “We always saw this as three pictures, and we wanted to tell the story of Eddie and Venom in three films. And the arc for Venom and Eddie ends here. But as you know, there are a lot of symbiote stories in the canon, so there are plenty of places to go, and there might even be a few Easter eggs here that could start the journey.”

When asked if there’s still a chance for audiences to see Venom and Spider-Man interact, star Tom Hardy said he’s “well prepared” to fight Spider-Man in a movie.

“I would never say never to that,” Hardy said. “But you know, as Kelly says, we were specifically set up to create Venom and bring him to a film format, and that’s exactly what we did. And The Last Dance is the final piece in that trilogy, and we.” “I’m really excited about it.”

Joining Hardy, who once again plays journalist Eddie Brock and the alien symbiote Venom, and Marcel, new Venom cast members Chiwetel Ejiofor and Juno Temple appeared during the panel to talk about The Last Dance and share footage from the film for the NYCC audience to show.

Following 2018’s “Venom” and 2021’s sequel “Let There Be Carnage,” Eddie and Venom will be “hunted from both their worlds” in “Venom 3,” according to a synopsis from Sony. The cast also includes Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach and Stephen Graham.
