My opinion on Pinterest – Chess.com

My opinion on Pinterest – Chess.com

INTRODUCTION/DISCLAIMER!!!

I had never heard of Pinterest until I came here in 2020. And I recently created this new account because I’m out of college now and finally have time for it (plus I’m really bored). Those of you may know me by several different account names. (But we can get into that later in a forum or something.) And I just wanted to point out that this is in no way a “serious” topic. I’m just complaining about an app that I use quite a bit now. And where did this idea come from? I honestly don’t know, I was just sipping my orange juice this morning and I said, “Hmm, what if I write about Pinterest before I go to work?” And if you don’t want to read me some whining about Pinterest, then Please CLICK OFF. Now that we have that out of the way, let’s get started.

A LITTLE BACKSTORY

When I was in high school, especially freshman year, we still had to follow Covid precautions. And I mostly kept to myself a lot (which is why I was more active back then) and reached out to Chess.com after I saw it on a flyer or something. But even back when Chess.com was more active, you sometimes want to distance yourself from it. It could get VERY intense and competitive, which I enjoyed for a while. My point is that I wanted to do something else on the computer that wasn’t BLOCKED by the school systems. Something that could keep me entertained even when I was logged out. Then came one of the many pop-up ads on Chess.com. It was for Pinterest. And I’m pretty sure they showed me a cool background or wallpaper because I clicked on it. (I was making custom wallpapers and profile pictures for people back then…yeah…I was SO bored.) I immediately created an account and saved every pin I thought was cool. I was so excited to have a place where I could find cool, aesthetic wallpapers and profile pictures without having to go to Google. For me it was magical.

MY OPINION

Pinterest is the best!!! Even if you don’t want to run a profile picture and wallpaper business, you can still use it for sooo many other things. Like inspiration. On something. Not sure how to take the right notes for the test you need to study for? Discover new techniques on Pinterest! Need to impress your friend’s mom with a new dish that isn’t plain old pasta??? GO TO PINTEREST!!! I’ve been using this app since I found it. And I know people usually say it’s for the “older audience”, but I’m not even old. So. But the list is literally endless. Do you want to start training but don’t know where to start? No need to worry, just go to Pinterest and you will find a whole list of different workout plans that you can follow. I could spend all day listing the different ways you can use Pinterest (but again, I still have to get to work). My point is that Pinterest is so versatile. And I may be a little biased because I have my own platform on Pinterest (I’ll link it below and follow it if you want), but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s so helpful in different situations. But yeah, that’s all for today, folks. Maybe until next time I’ll write about my opinion on hit squirrels or whatever comes to mind that day. Don’t forget to read what’s belowwwwwww!!
