Free Legal Resource Day is next week in Pueblo

PUEBLO – There will be a free event next week in Pueblo for anyone who wants to learn more about the legal system or get advice.

The Dennis Maes Judicial Building, located downtown on Elizabeth Street near West 5th Street, is hosting its annual Legal Resource Day next Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m

Visitors can take courses on court proceedings and receive free individual advice from lawyers.

“A lot of people have problems, legal problems in the community, and there’s no other event like this where you can talk to a lawyer for free, especially in Pueblo,” said Michala Barnett of Pueblo Combined Courts. “Our resources are often limited.”

It is recommended that you make an appointment for individual legal consultations. You can do this by either going to the Justice Building or by calling (719)404-8700.
