The Beachwood Mall incident leads to the arrest of the fugitive

BEACHWOOD, Ohio (WOIO) – A seemingly minor altercation at Beachwood Mall took an unexpected turn on October 6 and led to the arrest of a fugitive with a lengthy criminal record.

It all started when a 16-year-old boy accused a man, later identified as Kevin Patrick, of staring at his twin sister.

Mall security footage was inconclusive, but police became suspicious when Patrick gave a false name and date of birth.

After returning to the station to get a fingerprint scanner, he refused to use the impostor.

Officers eventually discovered Patrick’s ID in his wallet.

A records check revealed that he was wanted for a probation violation.

Patrick’s criminal history includes charges of assault, stalking and kidnapping.

He was arrested and charged with providing false information to police in addition to the outstanding warrant.
