Surveillance video shows mother grazing outside Family Dollar while holding her baby

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – Authorities have released surveillance video that shows a mother, an innocent bystander, being struck by a bullet while holding her baby in a car in North Miami.

Police said Anna Ixchell Williams, 35, opened fire on the vehicle on Oct. 6 after getting into an argument with another woman at a Family Dollar on Northeast 135th Street. The woman who ultimately shot them was their neighbor, they said.

The video shows Williams entering the store. Then the driver gets out. According to police, the two were acquaintances and had argued in the store.

They stay in the store for about three and a half minutes before the driver and Williams leave the store. Williams follows her to the car.

There is another exchange of words before the driver gets back in the car and reverses. Police said Williams pulled a gun from her purse and fired a single shot. Then she goes to the car and there is an exchange before she leaves. The driver records Williams.

โ€œWhat did you just shoot her in the head for?โ€ The driver can be heard saying in the recording.

The victim then goes to the store to get help. Finally she gets out and you can see her holding her head.

She spoke to Local 10 News five days after the shooting.

Williams, who was charged with four felonies, remained in jail Friday.
