Damien Leones horror 3 enters its second weekend of box office infamy against Paramount Pictures’ Goliath Smile 2 and is still trying to break more records and possibly become the highest-grossing film of all time.

Outside the viral nature of horror 3Part of the film’s success is that the ultra-slasher appeals to both audiences and critics, as the film proves Rotten tomatoes Scores.

Entertainment journalist Erik Davis pointed out something extraordinary this week – horror 3 Is the first new horror film to carry both Certified Fresh and Verified Hot since the Verified Hot designation was introduced on Rotten Tomatoes in August.

As Slashfilm notes, this is significant because earning a Verified Hot badge isn’t exactly easy: “The Verified Hot badge is awarded to films that achieve a Verified Audience Score of 90% or higher and have at least 500+ “Verified Reviews.”

While its rating currently stands at 88% on the Popcorn Meter (and 73% on the Tomatometer), RT explains on its website: “If a film receives Verified Hot status but its Popcorn Meter subsequently falls below 80%, it will lose the status “Verified Hot.” Verified hot designation.”
