Ace finished the game with 25 points, five rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal while shooting just under 50% from the field. He had great shooting performance in the game, hitting challenging shots from deep over defenders. His reach and length are already reminiscent of players like Brandon Miller and Brandon Ingram. While this was the first taste of what he has in his bag, let’s hope this game is just the beginning for him.

Dylan Harper was also exciting. He had a similarly impressive stat line, He scored 20 points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal. Harper showed his elite size at the PG, standing at 6’6, and his ability to create his own shot. That was probably the most impressive thing about the newcomer. The way he creates space and his ability to roll off the midrange at will really sets him apart from his peers. At first glance, Harper showed similarities to guards like him Jalen Brunson and CJ McCollum.

With both guys in the first game, we expect to see more as the season progresses. We know it’s still incredibly early to get excited about these guys, but they look like elite talent. With their NBA stock already near the top, it’s good to see that the scouts may have been right about these two. However, if we’ve learned anything, Rutgers will be a team to watch all year long!
