Drug bust in Union City – Outlook for Mercer County

Union City, IN (10/18/24) – – The Union City Police Department (UCPD) made a drug-related arrest on October 17, 2024, when officers conducted a traffic stop on Stateline Road at W. Chestnut St. During the investigation, officers seized a quantity of cocaine from the vehicle.

Dustin Garland, of Greenville, was arrested and subsequently booked into the Randolph County Jail on a cocaine possession charge.

Public Safety Director Mark Ater stated:

“This arrest underscores our ongoing commitment to crack down on drug dealers and increase the safety of our community. We will continue to crack down on illegal drugs in Union City.”
