New  million youth sports complex planned for Roanoke, TX

A new 122-acre youth sports complex is being built under construction in the far north of Fort Worth. The $75 million Play it forward A sports center is planned to open on TX-114 in Roanoke.

Former Texas Rangers pitcher (and Irving High School graduate) Blake Beavan has teamed up with entrepreneur Dave Dickson as the driving force behind the project, which aims to create opportunities for future athletes.

The complex includes:

  • Five large baseball fields with lights and grass
  • Three soccer fields where 7-on-7 soccer, rugby and lacrosse can also be played
  • A sports training facility
  • A hotel with 150 to 200 rooms and conference rooms
  • Upscale restaurants and mixed-use retail
  • Parks and trails
  • A medical center for athletes and guests
  • Over 1,000 parking spaces

The sports fields are is expected to open End of 2025, the mixed-use common areas will follow in 2026.
