Nestlé introduces Mexican and Asian ranges

Nestlé is launching two new meal brands themed around Mexican and Asian cuisine. The Mings (Asian) and Tapatío (Mexican) brands are being launched as part of Nestlé’s strategy to capitalize on growing demand for global cuisine.

The Mings brand was created by American celebrity chef Ming Tsai, while the Tapatío brand was created in collaboration with the American hot sauce brand of the same name.

“The combination of cooking techniques and ingredients from Eastern and Western cultures was the inspiration for Mings,” said Chef Ming Tsai. “I’m excited that people can experience bold, authentic Asian flavors anywhere, anytime through dishes like Spicy Beef Ramen and Pineapple Sweet & Sour Chicken.”

“For over 50 years, our family has been infusing the authentic taste of Mexico into the best-selling hot sauce we all know and love today. “In collaboration with Nestlé, the new Tapatío frozen meals now fill a gap for consumers who want to enjoy high-quality Mexican recipes that convey authenticity in an accessible way,” adds Roche McCoy, Tapatío Director of Licensing Operations.

BFree launches soft, white, gluten-free wraps

British gluten-free brand BFree launches a range of soft, white gluten-free wraps. According to the brand, the packaging has been praised by consumers for its softness, a quality that is difficult to achieve in gluten-free foods.

BFree says the softness is the result of extensive research and development by the company’s food technology and product development teams.

“We have created a product that breaks the mold of gluten-free baked goods. We do not compromise on taste or quality and are committed to offering alternatives that counteract gluten-free food stereotypes. Each wrap is made from a precise blend of plant protein, fiber and starch and baked to perfection. The result is the best gluten-free wrap on the market, exceeding the quality of all competing products,” said Alex Murphy, CEO of BFree.
