New Orleans Beach Privateers open the 2024 fall season at the Coconut Beach Tournament

NEW ORLEANS – Led by inaugural head coach Ryan Havice, the New Orleans Beach Privateers will open their 2024 fall schedule at the Fall Coconut Beach tournament, October 19-20.

The tournament features 44 different pairs divided into four competition groups, with each team playing six games. Participating teams include McNeese, Stephen F. Austin, Spring Hill College, Southeastern, Tulane and Southern Miss. The first pool of games begins at 10:30 a.m., with finals beginning at 5:00 p.m

“I’m looking forward to watching this team compete. We have spent the last two months in learning and growing mode. I’m excited to see this team now that they can turn off the training spirit and turn on the competitive spirit,” Havice said.

“We have seen growth in various areas of our game and I have confidence that these athletes can translate into some competitive games this weekend.”

This is the first of two fall events before the official season begins in February. The Privateers will complete their fall campaign on November 22nd and 23rd at White Sands Beach, hosted by Tulane.
This year marks the third season that fall competition is part of the NCAA beach volleyball schedule.
