Today the fourth beta version of Android 15 was released. Android users can enroll in the Android Beta for Pixel program or update over the air.

Google has been testing its latest operating system, Android 15, for months. Today, three months after launching the first version, Google announced its fourth and final beta version of Android 15. Google Pixel users who want to try it out can sign up for the Android Beta for Pixel program and download and install the Android 15 beta over the air. If you use the previous versions, you can update them directly to the latest Android 15 Beta 4.

Android 15 brings exciting new services and improvements to the Android operating system focused on productivity, privacy, communications, performance, navigation quality and security. The new Android 15 also enables better support for developers and content creators.

Currently, only the Pixel series phones are compatible with Android 15. These include Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8a, Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet. Android users not on this list can download an Android emulator to test how Android 15 works on phones, tablets, and large-screen devices.

Google has also collaborated with some Android device manufacturers such as Honor, iQOO, Lenovo, Nothing, OnePlus, OPPO, Realme, Sharp, Tecno, Vivo and Xiaomi to test the latest Android 15 beta. Users of these branded devices must check their eligibility on their respective brand websites.

Users moving from Android 14 are advised to back up their data before beginning the Android 15 beta download. It is important to ensure that this step is followed by those who may downgrade to Android 14 after testing the Android 15 beta as the entire data will be wiped.

Key new features in Android 15 include predictive back gestures, edge-to-edge boosting, improved DND rules, and rich vibrations for incoming notifications by channel. There are many more features in the testing phase that will be phased in soon after the first stable version is released.
