Tupps Brewery Announces Bold Gold Texas Lager in Support of Lion Athletics

TRADE – Texas A&M University-Commerce is pleased to announce a partnership with TUPPS Brewery and the release of Bold Gold Texas Lager: a licensed beer for Lion fans. The beer is now available at TUPPS Brewery in McKinney, Lion Athletics events and select stores in East Texas.

Bold Gold is a crisp, smooth and balanced Texas Lager crafted with precision. With an alcohol content of 4.6%, it can be enjoyed during the game or at home. The “Bold Gold” can design pays homage to the rich history of Lion Athletics by highlighting the past and present while proudly displaying the university’s blue and gold colors.

ABOUT TUPPS BREWERY:
TUPPS Brewery was founded in 2009 when Keith Lewis and his former partner Tupper Patnode brewed their first batch of beer using a homebrew Christmas gift from Keith’s wife Pam. They enjoyed the process and creativity and began brewing every weekend with Keith’s son Chris, now the head brewer. Eventually, they realized they could turn this hobby into a business. In 2015, they found a great location, built the brewery with their bare hands and opened! Along the way, Keith’s eldest son Chase and daughter Katie joined the expanding company.

In early 2024, TUPPS Brewery moved down the street to a 4-acre property that features a restored 120-year-old gristmill taproom, restaurant, state-of-the-art brewery, children’s area, stage and tons of green space. The family business grew organically from a love of beer, people and fun!

TUPPS Brewery is located at 402 E Louisiana St., McKinney, TX 75069. The taproom is open 6 days a week: Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m Clock.
