BLACKPINK’s Rosé is embarking on her next chapter as a soloist and has brought along Bruno Mars to kick things off in style. The two shared their fun new collaboration titled “APT.” with a music video co-directed by Mars. Stream the song below.

“SUITABLE.” offers a first look at Rosé’s upcoming solo album, titled Rosiewhich is due to arrive on December 6th. The 12-track project is described as her “most personal and open-hearted release to date” and she is responsible for writing credits on every song on the album.

The title of a song refers to a Korean drinking activity known as the apartment game. “It’s so simple, will put a smile on your face and break the ice at any party,” Rosé shared in a statement. “One evening in the studio I was teaching my crew how to play the game. Everyone was intrigued, especially when I started singing, so we played around with it and I said we should make a song out of it. Once Bruno joined the circuit, the rest became history!”

Bruno Mars confirmed the anecdote via Instagram. “I held on to that for dear life after Rosé introduced me to this Korean drinking game and made me sassy,” he said. “Soon after, she tried to kiss me and I said, ‘Woah, Rosie!’ What part of the game is this?’”

“What’s wrong with you,” Rosé replied.

While Rosé prepares for her album, Bruno Mars prepares for another leg of his Las Vegas residency (get tickets here). “SUITABLE.” marks another high-profile collaboration for Mars in 2024 following his previous single with Lady Gaga, “Die With a Smile.”
