Region and Section Night in Tennessee

It was a night of celebration and painful defeats for a handful of local teams on the Tennessee side of the state line – some went on to win a state championship, others were sent home for the season.

In volleyball, five teams competed in the sectional round for a shot at the state tournament – with the only team, South Greene, advancing to Class A.

In football, two teams (Greeneville and Science Hill) won home games for the sectional round on Saturday, while three others must travel on the road to have a chance at a trip to state.
