Pokemon Legends ZA was originally planned for 2024

If the leaks are true, of course.

The massive data breach that happened to Game Freak is still going through and being published. Overall, it’s a lot of data, and many people are already trying to use this type of data for their own purposes. However, some of the translated information appears to be correct, or at least correct for a certain period of time within the company. One of the more interesting new pieces of information that has come out concerns Pokemon Legends ZAwhat many are still waiting for in terms of a new trailer. The game was announced on Pokémon Day and was planned for 2025, but according to a leak it was supposed to be released earlier.

As you can see from the tweet below, a statement says the game was actually set to release in 2024, with a “playable build” completed just days before the initial announcement in February. It goes on to note that Zygarde and Zeraora are the main legendary Pokémon in the title, although new leaks also suggest that a third is included.

While we don’t know how official this is, it hints at a recent trend from The Pokemon Company that many don’t like. Specifically, the desire to release games quickly without ensuring they are ready for release. The first game in this spinoff series, which featured Arceus and an older version of the Sinnoh region, was praised as a game overall, but had some minor quality issues such as framerate drops and ugly textures that kept it from being a real game in some cases legendary title to become people’s thoughts. Then, just ten months later, when Gen 9 was canceled, numerous quality control issues made the game a buggy game at times. The game was still good overall, but it was hard to ignore the numerous things that should have been fixed before release.

It’s possible that the backlash from these events led to the game being pushed back to 2025. We still don’t know when exactly it’s coming out, and we may not hear about it for a while due to this leak.

A previous massive leak over Pokemon Legends ZA noted that in the game, players would be part of a recovery team that would help expand Lumiose City. Players will venture into different regions and capture resources and Pokémon so that the city can grow in new ways.

Hopefully these leaks will soon become unnecessary as The Pokemon Company needs to give us official information soon enough.
