The Jan Shatabdi Express had recently upgraded its traditional coaches to LHB coaches on September 29, which offer improved travel comfort. However, the change also led to a reduction in overall seating capacity.

The Jan Shatabdi currently operates with 21 coaches, including 16 seated coaches, three AC seated coaches and two SLR (Seating-cum-Luggage Rake) coaches. In the LHB configuration, one of the SLR cars was replaced by a brake van with a generator and luggage, while the number of chair cars remained unchanged.
