The tragic death of Liam Payne has shocked the music industry. DJ Steve Aoki was one of the artists who expressed their sadness over the late singer’s death.

On October 18, Aoki uploaded an emotional post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) mourning the death of Payne. The tweet included several photos of the two enjoying each other’s company during casual times and appearances.

According to his caption, Aoki shared that he will miss his dear friend and that it was difficult to write the post.

“(It) makes no sense, I can’t believe you’re gone bro,” Aoki said. “We had so many great memories together on and off stage.”

Aoki continued by describing Payne as a “true legend” and a “kinder soul with a heart of gold.”

“I miss you, my brother,” the DJ added.

In the comments, netizens also expressed sadness over the post and sent warm words to Aoki. The post included comments such as, “The loss of a friend is truly incredible,” “I mourn her so much,” and “Thank you for loving our boys, grateful for your friendship.”

In addition to Aoki, other celebrities have also mourned Payne on social media, including Charlie Puth, Paris Hilton, Zedd and many more. One Direction, including Niall Horan, have released a statement regarding Payne’s death, as separate posts from Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson were also uploaded.
