A new leak gives us a first glimpse of what the OnePlus 13 could be

Rumors and leaks are circulating about the upcoming launch of the highly anticipated OnePlus 13. Recently, OnePlus confirmed that it will unveil the latest version of its smartphone software, OxygenOS 15, on October 24th.

Now an image of what the OnePlus 13 could be is circulating on Chinese microblogging network Weibo. According to DigitalTrends, the leaked material comes from a reliable source called “Digital Chat Station”. The pictures are also circulating on X.

If it’s the OnePlus 13, I immediately noticed that the phone no longer has a curved metal side, as was the case with recent OnePlus phones. The picture shows flat metallic sides just like that iPhone 16 and the Pixel 9 .

However, it does share similarities with the OnePlus 12, particularly in terms of the camera island. There appears to be some sort of metal pipe connecting the camera to the right side of the phone frame. There’s also an H above this line, suggesting that OnePlus could potentially use Hasselblad camera optimization on its next phone.

The images also show two possible color options: one with a matte black finish that appears to be reminiscent of granite, and the second that appears to be pearlescent in white.

Other leaks suggest the OnePlus 13 could feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, a 6,000mAh battery, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

The OnePlus 13 is expected to launch in China before the end of October. It is not yet known when the phone will be available worldwide.

While OnePlus is introducing OxygenOS 15 to the world on October 24, there is also no indication yet as to when it might launch and which OnePlus phones will support it. OnePlus announced on its community forum that it will reveal a release roadmap during the event on October 24th.
