UNLV Women Open Regional Play

LAS CRUCES, NM (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV women’s tennis opened play at the ITA Mountain Regional, which began Thursday on New Mexico State’s campus.

Members of 20 Western teams will compete in singles and doubles every day until the final on Tuesday.

In the main field doubles Coco Zhao And Cindy Hu I enjoyed the first round of goodbyes Nikol Mircheva And Hanna Vinahradava defeated Asem Shoybek and Stefanya Shalakhova of Idaho State 8-4.

In the individual qualifier: Kaho Oyama won her first game 7-5, 6-4 against Sofia Taborga of New Mexico.

At each of the ITA Men’s and Women’s Division I Regional Championships in 2024, two individual finalists (26) will qualify for the NCAA Individual Championship. Meanwhile, the doubles champions from each region (13) qualify for the NCAA doubles championship.
