MechWarrior 5: Clans surprised me with its excellent campaign, driven by a thoughtful, well-told story, great mission design, fantastic tank combat and all the customization you could want. I really loved playing Clans, especially in co-op, and some story moments and missions will stay with me for a long time because they made me think about the ethical questions of war at the same time as mine Group missiles and lasers to destroy a target and rescue my damaged armor from danger. I just wish my first playthrough hadn’t been so buggy, especially in co-op mode. If Piranha’s promised post-launch patches can fix the problems, Clans will experience far fewer frustrating lows dragging down the many impressive highs – but one way or another, I’ll definitely be back for another go the Smoke Jaguar Clan are preparing for the future.
