‘Wonka’ Director Paul King to Direct ‘Prince Charming’ Movie

It’s been a few years since we last heard about Disney’s live-action adaptation of “Prince Charming.” Well, today Deadline gave an update.

According to the trade Wonka And Paddington Director Paul King has been tapped to direct the upcoming film Cinderella Spin off. Simon Farnaby and Jon Croker co-write with King.

It should be noted that although the plot details are kept secret, we already received plot details of the picture at the time when the film was in active development. The film revolves around Prince Charming’s twin brother, who must assume his brother’s identity and team up with Snow White to save Princess Rosebud and his own kingdom from the evil King Anatgony (name may change). Along the way, Charming learns to find and accept his true identity.

The film is not expected to be connected to Disney’s live-action. Cinderella Remake that debuted in 2015 starring Lily James.

This isn’t King’s first rodeo with Disney. The acclaimed director was once tapped to direct the live-action remake Pinocchiowhich ultimately went to Robert Zemeckis.
