The “Matlock” reboot is back with a new episode today. In this new twist on the old premise, the new series stars Kathy Bates in the title role. Episode 2 airs tonight, October 17th, at 9pm Eastern on CBS. Titled “Rome in a Day,” Matty continues to adjust to her new job while the team deals with the case of a developmentally delayed teenager accused of murder.

With her unassuming demeanor, she gets a job at Jacobson Moore, a renowned law firm. But what they don’t know is that she has an ulterior motive behind her actions.
