Olivia Rodrigo effortlessly wears Gen Z’s favorite fall trend

Olivia Rodrigo is not afraid to embrace new or old trends.

While she was on the road for her Guts tour – which was peppered with a tour of her own References to retro culture– the singer turned to a timeless autumn silhouette. While heading out to dinner at Totti’s Bondi in Sydney, Australia on Tuesday night, Rodrigo slipped on a pair of well-worn brown Frye Campus boots.

The retro style has quickly become one of her favorites and has already spread everywhere Instagram several times. In turn, Generation Z has begun coveting vintage versions of the tall leather boots in hopes of replicating the star’s ultimate transitional outfits. Of course, buyers could always do that buy a new pair of Frye boots, but the shoes would not have the desired aged look.

Rodrigo styled her own distressed pair with a chocolate brown miniskirt as well as a long-sleeved gray sweater with a subtle V-neck. Although the footwear was the highlight of her outfit, she slung a statement hobo bag over her shoulder and made sure to show off the handbag’s zebra print. A handful of silver rings and a bright red phone case (that matched her manicure) rounded out her accessories.

Like many of her fellow musicians, Rodrigo is too taken in vintage styleand has already turned heads on the red carpet for wearing pieces older than her age. She made her mark at the Grammy Awards earlier this year a strappy dress from Versace from the house’s spring/summer ready-to-wear collection 1995 and later introduced a vintage band t-shirt in street style. If there’s one thing the budding fashion icon seems passionate about promoting, it’s that vintage never goes out of style.
