Michael Keaton’s Saturday Night Live promo

Michael Keaton’s Saturday Night Live promo

Michael Keaton returns Saturday Night Live This weekend for the first time in almost 10 years.

In his promo for the late-night sketch comedy series, the Oscar-nominated actor prepares to literally get rolling SNL Ring. As he warms up, an announcer speaks like he would at a real game.

“Starting with the host. He’s an actor from Pennsylvania,” the announcer says. “He’s 7 feet, 3 inches tall, 295 pounds,” as Keaton shakes his head and says “no.”

From there, the announcement only gets sillier and more bizarre.

“You may know him from his hit character Beetlejuice,” he says. “His favorite food is minced garlic in a bowl,” to which Keaton replies, “What?” The narrator continues, “He graduated from Peking University with a computer science degree in 2006. Now he is developing a line of organic crack cocaine that goes straight from farm to table.”

At this reference, the Emmy-winning actor stops warming up and says, “Wait a minute. Where does that come from?”

“Anyway, he’s the host Saturday Night Live This week with musical guest Billie Eilish,” the announcer concludes. “It’s Michael Keaton.”

How many boxers in the ring do that Goodrich Star then tried to rip off his sweatpants, but then realized that he had accidentally forgotten to put on his uniform.

“Oh my God, I’m so sorry. I am so sorry. Oh Lord, oh good God,” he declares as he runs off the set at Studio 8H.

The hosting gig is Keaton’s first since 2015 and his fourth overall. Billie Eilish will be a musical guest for the fourth time.
