This time not as an anchor for Taylor Made’s 2025 stallion list

Taylor Made Stallions has set its 2025 stallion roster and fees for the upcoming breeding season, led by Not This Time, who will go for $175,000 S&N.

Not this time (Giant’s Causeway) is the sire of Grade I winner and North American record holder Cogburn and multiple graded stakes winner Next, a dominant winner of seven consecutive stakes. Both are headed to the Breeders’ Cup.

Not This Time ranks second in percentage of horses used at 15.2 percent. With 31 horses he is the third-placed sire; and is in fourth place with seven graded stakes winners. Not This Time is also a leading father of two-year-olds this year.

Not This Time’s auction ring has seen four yearlings sell for $1 million or more in 2024, including the $3.4 million top seller at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale, the second-highest selling yearling in North America that year.

Angel of the Empire (Classic Empire) will receive its first breeding season in 2025 for $7,500. Angel of Empire, winner of the 2023 GI Arkansas Derby, like his sire – the 2016 champion 2-year-old male – also won the GII Risen Star S. and finished as the racing favorite in the GI Kentucky Derby for owner Albaugh Family Stables and trainer Brad Cox a third place in the rally.

Angel of Empire ($7,500); Dr. Schivel ($10,000); Early Voting ($12,500); Idol ($7,500); Instagramrand ($10,000); Instilled Appreciation ($10,000); Knicks Go (tbc); Not this time ($175,000); Rowayton ($2,500); and Tacitus ($10,000).
