PBS offers free live broadcasts of the state volleyball championships

JOHNSTON – As Iowa girls fight to get their tickets to the state tournament, Iowa PBS is preparing to broadcast the championship games live.

Coverage of the individual class title fights begins on Thursday, November 7th at 10 a.m. at the Xtream Arena in Coralville. Each game will be broadcast live on statewide Iowa PBS and livestreamed on Facebook, YouTube and iowapbs.org.

The live broadcast looks like this (subject to change):

Class 5A – 10 a.m

Class 4A – 12:15 p.m

Class 3A – 2:30 p.m

Class 2A – 4:45 p.m

Class 1A – 7 p.m

The broadcast will feature announcers Eric Braley and Beth Discher West for Classes 5A, 4A and 3A and BJ Schaben and Kathy Bresnahan for Classes 2A and 1A.

Fans can also follow the action on the Iowa PBS X, Facebook and Instagram accounts.
