This cold snap will soon give way to a warming trend!

The coldest air so far this fall will settle over us tonight! We expect temperatures to fall into the upper 30s to lower 40s. We do not believe frost will be a problem for our area, but people in North Alabama will most likely experience their first frost of the season.

In the meantime, you can expect clear skies and temperatures between 30 and 40 degrees. There will be plenty of sunshine overhead again on Thursday, but temperatures will still struggle to reach the 70 degree mark. Another cool morning is in store for Friday with temperatures in the lower 40s. More sunshine will dominate our skies and temperatures will warm into the lower to mid 70s Friday afternoon.

The coming weekend will reveal a warming trend for the region. We will continue to have sunny and dry conditions across the board. Daytime highs will be in the low to mid 70s while overnight lows will be in the 40s. Warming is accelerating even more and we’ll be back in the low 80s early next week. Morning temperatures will also rise, reaching the lower to mid 50s each morning.
