Dealing with teenagers as a parent can be difficult, especially when it comes to asking the kids to change their routines!

This guy’s daughter wouldn’t stop playing with her friends, but he had a visitor for a few days who needed to sleep!

Look at how bad it got.

I currently have a daughter who is 15 years old.

My niece 17f will be staying with us for a while because her parents are going on a trip, she will be staying with us for about 10 days.

The daughter has her routine…

Anyway, her school starts pretty early, so she has to get up around 6:00. Now our house is further from her school than her home, so she has to get up even earlier, at around 5:30am.

My daughter’s school doesn’t start until 9:00 am and our school is close by so she usually wakes up around 7:30-7:45 am.

She usually plays video games after dinner. Nowadays that’s not a problem because she’s almost 16.

So as long as she sleeps at least 8 hours, I’m generally okay with it.

The niece wanted her to have some time to fall asleep.

My niece will stay in the living room where the TV is. She says she will sleep at 9:00 am, so I told her I would give her some rest before she can sleep.

She’s okay with us being in the living room, but doesn’t want the TV on. I told my daughter she can’t play video games in the living room after 8:15 p.m.

The daughter doesn’t want to miss out on her games.

Unfortunately, her PC is in the living room and she says she doesn’t want to miss out on playing games with friends in the evening and will miss a lot.

I understand, but my niece has to wake up early and it is important that she sleeps well as she is under a lot of pressure right now at school.

He wanted the daughter to host her cousin for a few days.

So I just told her no and to just adjust a little.

My daughter got really angry and said I was putting her first and that I was spoiling my niece and shouldn’t deprive her of video games.

I told her before that she can play and has plenty of time, but she refuses to budge and is now upset.

The daughter may have been frustrated, but she had a guest to put up with!
