One Direction fans are mourning Liam Payne after it was revealed the 31-year-old singer tragically died after falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina on Wednesday afternoon. Authorities have released a statement regarding Liam’s cause of death. Alberto Crescenti, head of Buenos Aires’ public emergency service, said Liam fell about “14 meters” and suffered “very serious injuries incompatible with life.”

The One Direction star was on holiday in Argentina with girlfriend Kate Cassidy and was recently spotted cheering on his former bandmate at Niall Horan’s concert on October 2, before later posting a photo of the two reuniting.

Although Liam shared recent content with his girlfriend on Snapchat shortly before his death, Kate was not there at the time of the star’s death. It is understood Liam’s Snapchat videos were pre-recorded and released on the day of Liam’s death.

Two days ago, Kate told her followers on TikTok that she had returned home to Florida while Liam stayed in Argentina – the influencer didn’t reveal why the two split but said she gave Liam a “squishmallow” for her. gifted.

In Kate’s TikTok, she explained that she was only supposed to stay in Argentina for five days and instead stayed for two weeks.

“I was so ready to go, honestly, I love South America but I hate staying in one place for too long,” she said. “We were supposed to be there for five days but it turned into two weeks and I just thought I had to go home.”

Kate then shared an eerie detail about her flight: the influencer was sitting in the 1D seat on the plane. “Of course my seat was 1D, I feel like that happens every time I fly,” she said, before saying she was scared of the flight and showing footage of a rash on her neck.

The influencer has yet to speak publicly about Liam’s death, and her fans are flooding her social media accounts with support.
