TV series spinoff of the acclaimed slasher film series receives its first trailer

Ten years after the release of the successful horror film Creepthe franchise will make the transition to the small screen with a TV series spin-off. A first trailer was also released for the new series ahead of its debut in November.




After the publication of Creep in 2014 and Creep 2 In 2017 the horror franchise returns with the new TV series The Creep Tapes. The small screen spin-off is The release is scheduled for November 15th on Shudder and AMC+but the trailer offers a first taste of the return of Mark Duplass as the creepy serial killer. The first Rotten Tomatoes score for “Smile 2” has been revealed.


The Creep Both films received very high praise. The film was directed by Patrick Brice, who also starred alongside Duplass. Creep is a found footage horror film that is considered by many fans to be one of the best of its kind. In it, Brice plays a videographer recording the antics of a bizarre customer (Duplass) when things take a dark turn. The film has a strong score of 91 percent on Rotten Tomatoes due to its critical acclaim.

Critics were even happier with the sequel, Creep 2. The sequel sees Duplass return to reprise his role as a serial killer on the hunt for videographers, while Brice was also back in the director’s chair. The film achieved an absolute score of 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, a real rarity for a horror sequel. Given the continued recognition, it was expected that more installments in the franchise would follow.

The Creep Tapes was officially announced earlier this year and filming wrapped in June. Brice returned to direct, while Duplass reprized the role of the mysterious killer in both films Creep Films. The anthology series consists of six episodes, each introducing a different person who fell victim to Duplass’ character.


“A little over ten years ago, Patrick Brice and I spent a week together in my cabin with a small digital camera,” Duplass said in a statement about the series. “We came out with a found footage horror film that was so incredibly weird and weird.” Uncomfortable, we assumed no one would see it. Continuing this unholy legacy in series format is a nightmare come true.”
