Nebraskaland Bank and the NPPS Foundation are hosting an on-site film to support the journalism club

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) – The Nebraska Land Bank hosted an on-site movie night to benefit the NPHS Journalism Club on Wednesday.

This is the second year that Nebraskaland Bank and the North Platte Public Schools Foundation have hosted the family event.

Admission to the film “If” was free, as were food and voluntary donations to help the high school journalism club fund new equipment such as cameras, microphones and lenses.

When Evonne Keck, PR and media manager at Nebraskaland Bank, approached the NPHS Foundation about collaborating on a fun evening for the community, it was a no-brainer.

“To do things for the families, you know, they could take care of their dinner and their kids could watch the movie and just have a nice fall evening. It was a voluntary donation to benefit the high school journalism club. They are raising money for new cameras and equipment they need. That’s why we’re happy to help them with this event,” said Keck.
