Amazon introduces the new Kindle range, the first colored Kindle

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Do you like reading books? Now might be the perfect time to get a Kindle – at least that’s what Amazon hopes you will with the release of a redesigned Kindle.

There’s an entirely new line of products, including the first-ever color Kindle. The so-called Kindle Colorsoft is Amazon’s first step towards color screens – ideal for graphic novels, travel guides or cookbooks.

There’s also the new Kindle Scribe, which features a sleek design and a pen that gives you the feeling of writing on paper. Additionally, the new Kindle Paperwhite is the thinnest and fastest of the four and features 25% faster page turning.

Finally, the Kindle in Matcha, the smallest of the bunch, fits easily into a jacket pocket. It is an entry-level device that is perfect for those new to e-books. Prices and availability vary.

New iPad mini for Apple Intelligence

Speaking of electronic devices… Apple has introduced a new iPad mini designed for “Apple Intelligence”. The new Mini features the same chip as the iPhone 15 Pro and will support the company’s upcoming AI features, rolling out this month through a free software update.

Designed to help users do the things that matter most, Apple Intelligence offers more integrated Siri, an image playground for creating playful images in moments, and Genmoji, which lets users create original emojis by typing a description or select a picture of a family member or friend.

The device has twice the memory of its predecessor, which was released three years ago, and also offers support for the “Apple Pencil Pro”. No design changes.

Starting at just $499 with 128GB – twice the storage of the previous generation – the new iPad mini offers incredible value and the full iPad experience in an ultraportable design. Customers can pre-order the new iPad mini today, with availability starting Wednesday, October 23rd.
