Sixers put together a unique highlight game against the Brooklyn Nets

On Wednesday, the Philadelphia 76ers hosted the Brooklyn Nets for a preseason game. While Nick Nurse suggested that some of the team’s key veterans could have the night off, the team fielded a starting lineup with some familiar faces, including Tyrese Maxey, Kelly Oubre, KJ Martin, Andre Drummond and Eric Gordon.

As the Sixers’ starters got to work in the first quarter, the trio of Maxey, Oubre and Martin made a unique move.

When Tyrese Maxey threw the ball up to assist on an alley-oop six minutes into the game, KJ Martin and Oubre were there to make the play.

Oubre, always someone who stood out, did it.

However, Maxey didn’t let Martin down. Just a few minutes later, the former All-Star hit Martin with another shot that he was able to hit without fighting Oubre for it.

The undermanned Sixers will look for their third preseason win on Wednesday night against the Nets. Last Monday the Sixers hosted the New Zealand Breakers for a pre-season opener.

When the Sixers visited the Minnesota Timberwolves in Iowa, they missed their first loss of the preseason. The following evening, the Sixers went head-to-head with the Boston Celtics. After excluding some of their rotation players, the Sixers suffered a huge loss.

The Sixers bounced back with a win on Monday night against the Atlanta Hawks. After completing their battle against the Nets in South Philly on Wednesday, the Sixers will visit the Orlando Magic for their preseason finale.
