Hyde Park International Launches AFM Sales for Bruce Dern’s Road Movie ‘Northbound’; first look (exclusive) | News

Hyde Park International will begin sales of the road trip comedy “Northbound,” starring Oscar nominee Bruce Dern, at the AFM in Las Vegas next month.

Screen has received a first image of the film, which GateHouse Productions shot in Canada and is now aiming for release and attention in 2025.

Dern plays Arthur, an 80-year-old outsider inspired by director William Scoular’s father who persuades his grandson Kevin to help him escape his nursing home.

The couple then drives from Arizona to Canada and chaos ensues. When they apprehend a mysterious stranger, bullets fly and love blooms on their crazy journey to redemption.

Hunter Parrish and Julia Fox also star, and the cast includes Joanna Cassidy, Graham Greene, Dylan Baker, Russell Peters and Walter Borden.

Dern received an Oscar nomination for leading actor Nebraska in 2014 and a supporting actor nomination Return home in 1979. As one of Hollywood’s most respected actors, Dern was involved in the adaptation of ” The Great Gatsby, Silent running, Black Sunday, You shoot horses, don’t you?And The hateful eight and other films by Quentin Tarantino.

Towards the north is based on an original screenplay by Ashlin Halfnight. Producers are Saad Siddiqui of GateHouse Productions and Robert Budreau of Scoular, Lumanity; and Jason Jallet and Andrew Bronfman. Executive producers are Wendy La Brier and Jonathan Bronfman for Beyond The Frame

GateHouse is developing a historical biopic about the life of famous concert pianist Paul Wittgenstein. in addition to the limited series Blood money And Academy.
