Keystone’s new single-axle truck underlines the trend towards smaller units

The following is a report from Auto Evolution.

Keystone RV has always been known for building some of America’s largest travel trailers, toy haulers and giant fifth wheels. But in 2025, there’s a shift in the way this crew does things: they want to meet the needs of as many people as possible, and the all-new Reign is the unit to do that.

Ladies and gentlemen, before us is the unique Reign from Keystone RV, one of America’s most popular manufacturers, and while that brand has always been known for producing some of the largest units we see in parks across the United States, the Reign is a true classic unit that combines the magic of Keystone in a more bite-sized package. However, this does NOT mean that the device is less powerful and affordable; These key features are still in play.

Now, as we begin with this unit, we must keep in mind that it is a single-axle facility designed to accommodate up to four guests depending on the floor plan and amenities. The model pictured in the video below is the 15RB, which only sleeps three as standard, but with an optional fold-up bunk this layout can sleep four guests.

The other new unit, the 18RB, can sleep up to four sleepy guests thanks to a Murphy bed over the couch and bunk beds on a pullout bed. Yes, these new units also come with slide-outs to maximize interior living space, with the exception of the 15RB.

There is also some dealer stock available and one in particular, the 1700BH, sleeps up to five guests and, funnily enough, comes with the cheapest MSRP that Keystone advertises on its website; It sells at a starting price of $24,308.

But the video below shows us an even lower price, and that’s for the 15RB. While Keystone lists a starting price of $30,720 for this unit, the unit sold in the film is advertised through Meyer’s RV as having a retail price of $22,995. This is a prize that is sure to attract a lot of attention.

At this point, most people’s interest would clearly be piqued, but some of us will certainly question the quality of a four-person RV selling for no more than $23,000. Well, to start with quality, please note that the Reign range comes with a closed and heated underbelly, perfect for transitioning into the colder months, and that the outer skin of these babies is made of metal. I’m guessing we’re dealing with an aluminum skin.

Exterior features also include: a fully walkable roof, rear camera prep, standard electric awning, storage compartments, tongue LP gas box and room for more storage. Even an outside shower with hot and cold water. But the true magic of this unit only becomes apparent the moment you finally pull into a trailer park or the middle of nowhere. If you plan to take this pup into the wild, be sure to move on light, unpaved roads that can be managed with torsion suspension.
