Hurricane Milton: Tampa Bay Rays could play at Oakland Coliseum after Tropicana Field was destroyed by storm

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) — It might not be the end of baseball at the Oakland Coliseum if fans have their way.

Many are hoping the Tampa Bay Rays make the trip to the West Coast after Hurricane Milton destroyed their ballpark.

This is what Tropicana Field looks like after Hurricane Milton hit Florida last week.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, the Rays will not be able to open the 2025 season at home in March as planned.

So an MLB analyst went on X and asked his followers where they could see the team at home games next year.

Several people responded and said Oakland.

As you know, the A’s will play in Sacramento for at least the next three seasons while they wait for construction of their planned stadium in Las Vegas.
