2 Minnesota cities are most interested in October’s sober trend in the US

For many, October is one of the most beautiful months of the year, with the peak of fall events and colors, right through to Halloween, October is a fun month and many enjoy it completely sober.

The Boca Recovery Center has released data from a new survey and data research that shows the trend is more popular than ever: One in four Americans said they took part in October. Most of those who are committing or thinking about being sober for a month are Millennials and Generation Z who say they rarely drink.

One of the data points they examined was Google searches per capita for “Sober October.” Minneapolis was ranked the most searched city in America, and St. Paul ranked 9th.

As a state, Minnesota ranks 12th among states seeking more about Sober October, Wisconsin ranks 20th, and in case you’re curious, Alabama and Mississippi are the 49th and 50th states with virtually no interest.

More than half of people said they planned to use their sober time to do additional exercise, meet up with family and friends, or pursue a new hobby. Could be a good month to start home brewing? So when October ends, you’re ready to go. Of course I’m joking.
