New Netflix Film Filmed at Montclair Business: “Girl Haunts Boy”

MONTCLAIR, NJ – A Montclair business was among the filming locations for a new movie that recently debuted on Netflix.

“Girl Haunts Boy” hit the streaming service last week. It features scenes filmed at the White Rabbit Black Heart, located at 219 Glenridge Avenue in Montclair.

Here’s how Netflix describes the film: “When a teenager suddenly sees the ghost of a girl after moving into a run-down new home, he must find out why she is haunted – and how he can break her curse.”

The Montclair company commemorated the event in a recent social media post, sharing a short clip from the film filmed on the site:

“In June 2022, White Rabbit Black Heart opened its doors to a world of the supernatural and became the eerie and enchanting set of the recently released Netflix film ‘Girl Haunts Boy!’ For four chilling days, over 100 cast and crew members filled our space with the thrill of the unknown, creating a story that lingers long after the cameras stop rolling. From the dark corners of the store to the enchanting atmosphere we created, every moment was full of magic.”

The release of “Girl Haunts Boy” marks Montclair’s second notable appearance on the big screen in a week.

Montclair Cinema fans will have a reason to go to the theaters when “Exhibiting Forgiveness” opens in theaters this weekend: The film features several scenes shot on location and elsewhere in Essex County.
