What is the weather forecast for the 2024 F1 United States Grand Prix?

The current weather forecast for this weekend’s United States Grand Prix suggests there may be a chance of showers in Austin.

The 19th round of the season marks the start of a series of two season-ending triple-headers, with both the drivers’ and constructors’ championships at stake.

The current weather forecasts from RacingNews365’s Weather partner WeerOnline indicate that the sprint weekend should take place in hot conditions, but rain is possible on Saturday morning.

At this point the sprint race is taking place local time, with the start scheduled for 1pm local time and 7pm UK time.

Grand Prix qualifying begins a little later in the afternoon at 5:00pm local time – 11:00pm UK time. The Grand Prix itself takes place on Sunday evening at 2pm local time – 8pm UK time.

Current forecasts predict dry weather for the 56 laps of the main Grand Prix, with wind blowing from southeast to northwest, roughly equivalent to a headwind in the Turn 1 braking zone.
