Honkai Star Rail 2.7 Tingyun leaks will make these characters obsolete

New leaks about Tingyun’s 5-star fugue form in Honkai: Star Rail have surfaced, suggesting the possibility that it could make a whole host of characters redundant in team competitions. Fugue has been confirmed to be one of the next playable characters alongside Sunday in developer HoYoverse’s turn-based RPG. The developer has already announced Fugue as a new 5-star fire character who follows the path of Nihility and is quite similar to Jiaoqiu in that regard Honkai: Star Rail. HoYoverse hasn’t announced Fugue’s gameplay kit yet, but a number of leaks for version 2.7 are emerging.

Jiaoqiu is a classic Nihility character in the sense that the main part of his kit is inflicting debuffs on enemies to allow them to take DoT (Damage Over Time). Additionally, Jiaoqiu is a great sub-DPS and support unit for Acheron-led teams as he can increase the ultimate damage dealt by his allies. Despite having the same element and path, Tingyun’s fugue form is expected to work slightly differently. Leaks suggest she’s a great support for Break DMG teams and new rumors suggest Tingyun’s 5-star form is on the horizon Honkai: Star Rail may even cause some characters to become redundant.

Honkai: Star Rail’s Fugue could help delay enemy action even further

Delaying enemy actions can stack

The leaker known as Shiroha has received new leaks about Fugue. The leaks were then published in a post marked “Questionable” on Reddit. The rumors prove that, via one of their tracks, Fugue can delay an opponent’s action by 15% when hit by Weakness Breach. With a Break Effect team composition, this delay can stack with other characters’ delays. Shiroha mentions that an enemy’s action can be delayed by more than 140% when Harmony Trailblazer is in team competition and actively triggers Imaginary Weakness Break on opponents.

Previously, leaks suggested that Fugue would be a replacement for Harmony Trailblazer

but it appears that for maximum impact they can and should be run as allies in the same party structure.

Honkai: Star Rail’s Fugue team comps can make sustain characters

Never allowing opponents to attack could become a new strategy

The introduction of Fugue as a character potentially opens up possibilities for a new type of team comp that eliminates the need for sustain characters like healers and shields. In Break DMG team comps, players were able to continuously stomp through waves of enemies without ever being hit by their attacksand this may be due in large part to the longer delay in their actions, made possible by the combination of the delays of all the characters, including the Fugue. This wouldn’t work for all types of activities, but players could see a new tactic by simply not allowing enemies to strike Honkai: Star Rail.

For example, a team composition made up of Firefly, Harmony Trailblazer, Ruan Mei and Fugue could actively ensure that the enemies’ actions are delayed killing everyone before they can even move. This is especially true when you consider how much lag can be achieved with the two supports and how often a fast Firefly can strike in combat. Other team competitions, such as those at Boothill, have already seen large cases of delay Honkai: Star Railbut the release of Fugue could take this strategy to a new level since enemies don’t attack.

Risks associated with not using sustain characters in Honkai: Star Rail

Faster enemies can land massive blows before their actions are delayed

Shadow of Feixiao from Honkai Star Rail charges forward, ready to attack.

As already mentioned, This type of strategy doesn’t work against specific enemies or activities. In battles where the opponent is either too fast or too strong, players may find themselves at risk. For example, in a fight against Hoolay, who is one of the fastest opponents in the game, players will likely see their teammates take a lot of damage before they even start using their delayed action strategy. Enemies with a large resistance bar can also be problematic, as they are strong enough to deal massive damage before their actions are delayed Honkai: Star Rail.

Honkai: Star Rail Leaks – The new Stoneheart character will be the first of its kind

Leaks have surfaced about Honkai: Star Rail’s new Stoneheart character, suggesting he will have an exclusive gameplay ability that could change combat.

This type of team composition that foregoes a sustain character isn’t all that common in the current meta, but its sheer power as a hypercarry team with three supports for a single DPS could become more common with the release of Fugue. While it should improve Break DMG team compositions, other future releases could incorporate its lessons and ultimately Make healers and shields a thing of the past as a DPS can become so powerful with three dedicated supportsall of which help delay the enemies’ actions Honkai: Star Rail.

Fugue is rumored to reduce the DEF of enemies in Honkai: Star Rail

DEF reduction can be combined with effects that allow characters to ignore a percentage of DEF

Another important aspect of the above leak is the clarification of how Fugue’s leaked skill works. According to the new leak, the 5-star Tingyun ability requires players to choose an ally. Fugue will then strengthen it and increase its current break effect value. When the upgraded character attacks an opponent, You get the chance to trigger the Blazing Flame effect, which supposedly reduces the affected enemy’s DEF value. Additionally, the skill supposedly allows Fugue to use an enhanced basic attack for three turns Honkai: Star Rail.

While the improved basic attack is probably a great way to make Fugue work better with the team’s overall damage output, the most notable part of her leaked skill is the DEF reduction. This DEF reduction essentially makes enemies more vulnerable to incoming damage and, most importantly, This can be combined with other DEF related effects such as: B. a greater DEF reduction or ignoring an enemy’s DEF when attacking. The Eidolons for Firefly, Boothill and Rappa in Honkai: Star Rail allow them to ignore an opponent’s DEF, meaning their effects would stack with those of Fugue’s supposed DEF reduction.

Honkai: Star Rail’s new leaked character could be the first of its kind

One of the new leaked characters for Honkai: Star Rail 2.7 may be able to store allies’ excess energy for their own ultimate.

Of course, these leaks about Fugue’s gameplay kit should be viewed with extreme caution. The information provided may be incorrect, incomplete or misleading, or may change before the final version of your kit is determined. However, the details appear to be consistent with several previous leaks about the abilities of the 5-star version of Tingyun and how it could significantly improve Break DMG team compositions. If the current leaks about Fugue are true, the meta is in Honkai: Star Rail may never be the same again as the ability to delay enemy action fades.
