Taron Egerton fights Jason Bateman in the Netflix film

Taron Egerton and Jason Bateman find a way to make vacation trips even more demanding than usual in the trailer for the Netflix thriller Hand luggage.

Director Jaume Collet-Serra’s airport action film hits the streaming service on December 13th. Rounding out the cast are Sofia Carson, Danielle Deadwyler, Sinqua Walls, Logan Marshall-Green, Theo Rossi, Josh Brener and Dean Norris.

Hand luggage It centers on an inexperienced TSA agent (Egerton) who gets into a fight with a mysterious traveler (Bateman) after the stranger blackmails him into taking a dangerous package on a flight on Christmas Eve.

Collet Serra (Black Adam, Jungle cruise) directed the film from a screenplay by TJ Fixman. Dylan Clark is producing the film, and the project’s executive producers include Collet-Serra, Holly Bario, Brian Williams, Seth William Meier and Scott Greenberg.

Egerton is known for the Kingman franchise and his acclaimed performance as Elton John in Rocket Manin addition to her starring role in the Apple TV+ series Black bird. Bateman’s recent credits include features Fool’s paradise And Air.

“He is unhappy at work at the airport and is feeling depressed and dejected because of it,” the actor said. “He also just found out his girlfriend is pregnant. So he feels the pressure to be a responsible father and provider, but I think he also feels a deep lack of fulfillment. So when he’s put in that terrible situation, he has a great chance to rise up.”
