Khazar Elyassnia’s role in the murder of Cash App founder Bob Lee sparked drama

At the center of millionaire cash app founder Bob Lee’s explosive murder trial is the suspect’s sister – the wife of a glamorous plastic surgeon who was reportedly involved in San Francisco’s underground party scene, which often featured drugs and swinger sex goes.

Khazar Elyassnia, 38, was allegedly partying and sleeping with Lee when her brother Nima Momeni, 40, stabbed Lee to death in the early hours of April 4, 2023.

That night, 43-year-old Lee was found bleeding and begging for help in the heart of San Francisco at 2:30 a.m. – just half an hour after he was seen leaving Elyassnia’s posh Millennium Tower home next to Momeni.

Khazar Elyassnia, 38, has appeared in court to support her brother, who is accused of murdering her alleged lover David G. McIntyre

Momeni’s lawyers say he killed Lee in self-defense and claim the tech founder was under the influence of drugs and tried to cut Momeni down.

Lee and Elyassnia were involved in a wealthy San Francisco party scene called “The Lifestyle” that revolved around drug use and casual sex, The Wall Street Journal previously reported.

The couple had attended such a party together the night of the murder, and Momeni was under the impression that Lee had drugged and raped his sister, prosecutors argued in their opening arguments Monday.

Momeni decided to take revenge on his sister’s behalf, prosecutors said – only for Khazar to call her brother a “fucking psychotic” in “damning” text messages hours later.

Prosecutors said those messages were an important part of the evidence that would prove Momeni was guilty of first-degree murder.

Further escalating the drama, Momeni’s lawyers tried to exclude Lee’s ex-wife Krista from the courtroom after she called Khazar “the whore of the high tower” – a reference to her apartment in a luxury high-rise, court documents show.

The siblings are reportedly close, as friends previously said. They were born less than a year apart and immigrated from Iran with their mother in the 1990s.

“[Nima] would do absolutely anything for it [Khazar] and she would do anything for him,” a friend told Mission Local.

Since 2013, Khazar has been with Dr. Dino Elyassnia, a well-known plastic surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty.

According to the San Francisco Standard, his name has been featured in magazines for years where he speaks enthusiastically about his marriage and his wife.

He accompanied her to court throughout her brother’s trial.

But the picture of a sunny marriage has been tarnished since her name became linked to Lee and The Lifestyle.

One person told the Standard that he matched with Khazar on a dating app in 2019 and even went home with her.

Last November, she was arrested for drunk driving after crashing her Mercedes into several cars in broad daylight in San Francisco.

Cops allegedly said they saw her snorting nitrous oxide while behind the wheel, and police discovered empty canisters of the intoxicating inhalant in her car.

The charges were later dropped pending further investigation.

It’s unclear when her alleged relationship with Lee began, but she previously denied being sexually assaulted by anyone at the party — and even insisted to her brother that nothing untoward happened, according to court documents.

Momeni pleaded not guilty to murder.

“Nima had to stand up to someone who had barely slept for 90 hours and was using cocaine the whole time,” lawyer Saam Zangeneh said in court, according to the Standard.

“People who drink cocaine for long periods of time are paranoid, aggressive and violent.”

When Lee died, he was found to have both ketamine and cocaine in his system.
