EPA Hosts Lead Belt Soil Contamination Open House

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is preparing to hold several open houses to address the cleanup of lead-contaminated soils in the St. Louis region.

The EPA is hosting four open houses from October 21-24. Plans call for the event to be open to the public in several counties that are part of the Old Lead Belt, including Jefferson, Washington and St. Francois counties.

The agency will keep abreast of site cleanup and provide blood testing.
